While containing several thousands of materials, NextGen databases may not have one or more necessary instances. In this article we illustrate how it is possible to overcome the absence of materials and how to request their addition.
In the event that the missing material is required in a European context, such as the EN 13445 or AD 2000 standards, we can evaluate its introduction in a subsequent version of the program.
In order to proceed, you must send the request via Ask for support, providing the information necessary to locate it:
Material name (for example, P265GH)
Reference standard (EN 10028)
Material number (1.0425)
We do not guarantee the inclusion of all the required materials: for us the minimum condition to proceed is the traceability of the mechanical characteristics in standard regulations. For example, commercial materials will not be considered.
If you have the technical data sheet for the material in question, you can provide it to our Technical Support Service, in order to facilitate the addition operations. Make sure you have the necessary rights to share this information.
ASME publishes an official list of materials that can be adopted in both Division 1 and Division 2 contexts. The reference standard is ASME II, Part D.
NextGen contains all the materials published by ASME with their relative characteristics. Therefore, specific materials will not be added to these databases.
While waiting for a requested material to be officially added in NextGen, or for those cases where this operation cannot be performed, it is always possible:
