Clarifications on changes

• Greater prominence for the options relating to the reduction of the allowable in EN 13445 openings
  In version 2022.2, greater visibility is given to two important options in the calculation of openings in EN calculations.
• Validation error in the verification of large openings on cylinders, with a ratio between the nozzle radius and the cylinder radius greater than 0.7
  In version 2023.2 of NextGen we have introduced a change regarding openings according to ASME VIII Division 1 with an opening/shell ratio > 0.7
• An error in the calculation of the pressure stress evaluation at the edge of the reinforcing pad, in the WRC validation of the supports attachments, has been corrected
  Version 2025.0 introduces a bug fix in the WRC calculation, in particular in the evaluation of the stresses at the edge of the reinforcement pad of supports and attachments. As a result, the stresses at that point could now be higher than those calculated previously.
• Change to fluid weight calculation in load combinations
  In version 2026.0, the way fluid weight is accounted for in load combinations has been changed: instead of the dead weight factor, the static head factor is now used. Files created with previous versions may require a review of the existing load combinations.
• Revision of the tensile and compressive verification method of the tube bundle according to AD 2000 B5 §8.3.4 for heat exchangers with floating head
  Starting from version 2026.0, the tensile and compressive verification method of tube bundles in heat exchangers with floating head has been revised to better align with AD 2000 B5 §8.3.4. The software no longer automatically determines the number of resistant tubes, requiring the user to define the effective load-bearing tubes and the corresponding area. The procedure is less automated but more consistent with the actual structural behavior.
